Somerville, MA – On Monday April 12, 2021, a motor vehicle pedestrian accident was reported. The vehicle struck and seriously injured a pedestrian near the intersection of Broadway and McGrath Highway in Somerville. According to WCVB witness statements about the pedestrian crash “It knocked him, like, 20 to 25 feet,” said Mark Burpee, a Somerville resident who rushed to help the victim. “They took his mask off so he could breathe better.” The pedestrian was initially reported as having suffered serious injuries, but has since reported to have died of his injuries. The pedestrian accident is alleged to have occurred at 8:40 P.M.
Massachusetts State Police are reportedly looking for the vehicle involved in the pedestrian accident.
